All about the PARTY Balloon Garland
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m seeing these amazing gorgeous Balloon Garlands everywhere! It’s the must have for any party these days. After searching far and wide (not really, Pinterest had it all). I have tried many different methods and supplies, and finally found what works and doesn’t. So hang with me, and lets up your party game with a killer Party Balloon Garland tutorial.
P.S. I’m gonna save you a fortune in stupid stuff you don’t need, lol!
Deciding on your theme and colors would be the start of any party. Making everything look cohesive is your first step to making your party Pinterest worthy. (You can always check out our Parties page for a little inspo). Once your colors are picked, the world is your oyster. No, literally. You can do any type of pattern/ non-pattern, ombre, simple with pops of color, greenery, or fun embellishments.
The one thing I like to tell people is make sure you have enough balloons for the space your trying to fill. Rule of thumb you will need about 5 balloons to fill a 1.5 ft space.
So, let’s get started with the Party Balloon Garland Tutorial!
Balloons – as many colors as you want. I find that the Dollar tree is the cheapest place to stock up in all sizes
String or twine – You can use any color or texture. (really whatever you have lying around at home) It will be hidden in the balloons.
Balloon Discs – SOOO IMPORTANT This little piece of plastic is what makes the” balloon magic” and will save you tons of time and frustration .***Don’t bother investing in the plastic balloon strip with the holes, its a total mess and a pain***.
Glue Dots – These bad boys keep everything together and where you want it. Word to the wise, don’t stick these to walls (you’ll thank me later)
Not needed but recommended:
Balloon Pump – The hand held sells for $1 at dollar tree, so it wont break the bank. If you plan on doing more of these I recommend an electric pump.
Ballon tie-er do-dad, lol. I have no idea what it’s called, but…it will save you blue fingers and numbness when making a larger Balloon Garland!
