The BEST Watermelon lemonade recipe ever!!
The 4th of July extravaganza is almost here!! This week will be all about the F word…noooooooo, not that F word. FOOD, FUN, FRIENDS, & FIREWORKS!
In preparation for the big day I found the biggest, juiciest, gorgeous watermelons you have ever seen. I always like to pick up a couple. One for eating and one for Cocktails! Yah #momjuice. Mamas need to eat their fruit too…ours just comes with a little kick.?
I want to share with you one of my favorite 4th of July drinks that my family absolutely loves! This is a summer staple in our house, no summer is complete without it! It does compliment this holiday all too well.
Here is a fun recipe for kids and adults alike!! This drink is sure to make your 4th of July Sparkle a little brighter!
- 6 cups seedless watermelon cubed
- 1 3/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup sugar more or less depending on sweetness of watermelon
Blend watermelon and lemon juice until smooth.
In saucepan bring water and sugar to a boil. When dissolved, add to blender.
After blended, refrigerate until ready to serve.
Garnish with watermelon slices or lemon wedges.
(you can serve over ice or blended to make the kids a slushy)
*PSST...you can add Rum to make it a little more adult friendly
